Family Fun Nights

Here are some pics from all of us helping dad on the kitchen.

Ok that's enough Ryder!

A tired boy.

I love this picture, because it just shows how proud John is of his two boys! he is so excited that he got brothers, and some best friends!

Don't mind the gray marshmellow in the background.

Stitches inbetween...

While John was working on the house, during the dusty parts and unliveable parts of the process we stayed with my parents. Bless their little hearts, they put up with us for that long. i called it the flug's bed and breakfast. while we were there my dad played a lot of games with the kids. (this is from thanksgiving, but you'll get the picture of what games he plays with the kids)

Hide N' Seek! Can you find Poppy??
And my sweet nephew Greyson.

Purgatory

Our life is in waiting right now...with a couple things, the baby, but right now for our cabinets! Wahoo! everything is pretty much done just need to put two new windows in before the cabinets get here, add more barn boards to the back wall, grout a few tiles we had to add to the floor, and trim! but other that that everything is primed and painted. Here are some pictures. (don't mind the mess it drives me nuts more than you)

Some other good news is I called me Dr's office today and i told them i will be 29 weeks tomorrow and the nurse said, "sorry, i have you at 30 weeks and 2 days." and i said, "I love you!" Well, not really, i did in my head. but when i had my first ultrasound two weeks ago i was measuring 1 1/2 weeks early, so they must have changed it! pretty much we worked everything out and i kinda played stupid enough to keep the new due date of May 31st! my original was june 10. i am such a happy pregnant lady today! So i hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

Almooostt done!

holy cow! i HATE remodeling!! well, kinda...i just can't wait for it to be done with and it should be done soon, like at the most two weeks. i just feel so bad for my husband. he is doing this all on his own, its just his manly personality, he loves it to a certain extent, but i will be honest its starting to wear on him/us. right now its hard to be in our house and have a positive attitude. when a kitchen is torn up, the heart of your house/center of your house, its hard to be in a good mood as a woman, especially one that is pregnant and trying to nest and bake/cook/grill!!! i am staying at my parents house right now, hopefully for only two nights, last week i was at my in laws, and the week before that we were again at my parents house. i have to keep the kids away because in previous posts i wrote they try to help way to much! sorry my camera is at my house or i would post some pictures. i will try and grab it tomorrow and show you the stages. john is cutting out can lights and painting the hallway tonight and spraying knock down on our ceilings tomorrow. i can't wait to show you the pictures!
so...i had my first ob apt last week and yesterday i had our first ultrasound, i will put pictures up of the little one too. he/she is only suppose to be 1 and 2/3lbs. and it is weighing 2 1/2 lbs. so i am measuring a week early like i did with ryder, atleast i don't have the swelling like i did with him. but the pictures look just like ryder/john. ryder and gunner came, gunner could care less, but ryder sat down in the chair and before the baby came on the screen he said, "this is amazing!" he held my hand pretty much the whole time and still wants to look at the CD of the baby in mommys tummy all the time. i seriously have the sweetest boys in the whole world!

Distractions

So I just posted what we have been doing the last 2 weeks, and I think we would have more stuff done, but we have had a few well needed distractions!!
First of all this one...

He is so sweet, and wants to help so much. But for instance, we are trying to knock out a wall and he runs up to us and hugs us, which is nice, just bad timing Gunnyman! He loves wearing what John wears, like his need pads or the headset. John also let Gunner help him use the drill, and about five minutes later we hear the drill running and he's starting to make another whole in the wall where we didn't want one.

This picture cracks me up! First, Ryder is so tired here, And it shows how he feels about helping. He could care less to help or not help, if we ask him he will help for awhile and does a great job helping, but then gets bored and wants to do something else, kinda the age right now. When we were done tearing down the wall he said he missed it and wanted it back! HA! (Oh and I accidentally trimmed his bangs so they are really straight across right now! Hehe! I need to fix them!)
Some other distractions were really fun ones!

Don't worry we are definetly going to change our trim color this year!!! HA!

Home Improvements

Well, I said it...we are finally doing some major reconstruction to our house! YAY! I have some pictures here to show you what the house looked like when we first moved...and where it is now...

We will also replace our door, just not sure when...we swapped it out with one from downstairs for a little more privacy.

We have already returned that light that is hanging there...didn't like that either! And here we are now...(sorry about the mess Johnny just got home from pushing snow all night!) And the kids terrorized my house this morning while I was cleaning the other half of the house! :) Isn't that the way it goes?! I am glad though that they can pick up their own toys and clean up when momma says! I sometimes say I am going to vacuum up all the toys and that kinda freaks them out! HA!

I have put a lot of thought into this tearing out process, but I don't know what it takes to do a project liek this, and forgot some stuff like electrical interferences, or beams in the wall, so Johnny had to set me straight (nicely) on a few things about what we can and can't do and he also had his own personal opinions too! Originally we wanted to take the whole closet out and open it up, but if you can see we have curved ceilings in the living room and it would ruin and create more hassel than what we wanted to deal with. So my friend put a picture up on her blog of her house and we liked it so we copied it, but made it into our own version. We have a lot to do still like build in a bench in the closet for people to sit on while they take there shoes off. And hang some hooks, maybe some chaldboard, mirrors, stuff like that. We are also making square columns around the front of the closet too. Don't mind the paint colors we are pretty much changing everything in the whole house. And our tile and trim just came in so we are ready to put that in when we are done with the front closet area. Will have more pics soon!

Pocket Change

I am on a hunt for a cute piggy bank for my boys. I have some pocket change-well a lot-that I keep in a bucket by my washer and dryer downstairs. When John starts working in the spring he comes home with sooo much change and my laundy bucket gets filled fast. The only thing we really use that change for is to wash our car now and then in the winter months. But now I have a better idea for it. I have been thinking about my kids' future and college and stuff...I know, they will be 4 and 2, but I'm pregnant and its really been on my mind! Some of you may have a fund for your kids already, or have thought of this idea way before me, but I am taking all my change I have all over my house and putting in a bank account for my little ones. I have a stash of cash that people (mainly great/grandparents) have given them and savings bonds (thanks Gramps!) in my fire/flood safe, but I need to take it to the bank and get one opened (the ones that have a good interest rate and you can't take anything out of it until they are 18), one for Gunner and one for Ryder (when my next one is born I will open one for him/her), and divide it right down the middle for them. I am postitive that John and I will add to it besides just the ol' changaroo, but it will be kinda cool to see how much I can get by the time they are 18 and off to college! (wiping tear from my eye)

Baby Names are Final!!

You heard me, WE FIGURED THEM OUT AND WE BOTH LOVE THEM! Well, for a girl we have always had Taylor Belle, but decided to change the middle name to a name I wanted to be the first name?! Did that make sense...anyway, the girl name is Taylor Bryn, which I know we won't ever have a girl...but just in case. And for the boy name we always wanted our last little boy-- if we had a boy for our last baby-- to be John _____ and call him by his middle name if it was too confusing which it probably will be, but we decided on John Hudson! What do you think? It is a huge relief that we have figured out the names for this new baby, I am 19 weeks and feeling the little babe move so much! Just can't wait for you little pookie pookerson!
