So, it's been awhile. I haven't forgot to post, I think about it every day, because I get on here and check everyone else's blog every day! I NEED NEW PICS on here!! We have been so bust around here with home improvements, and now construction season is in full gear! I loved having my husband home, but I really love the house to my self and suprisingly it's staying clean! Sorry honey!! I have done a few things in the blog world, one being my beautEful cousin Katie, asked me to do a blog post with her on Des Moines Mom's Blog a few weeks ago and that was really fun, we played dress up at Target, found some cute finds! We both love and follow the two girls on instagram 2targetdoesitagain! But we found different things they didn't post! It was fun and Katie is practically a model anyway, so she tried on everything and posed! It was so much fun! Ryder is almost done with his first year of school. Kindergarten. What? I was talking with Kristen the other day and we decided it doesn't matter anymore what grade he's in now, he's just so old! I gotta call from the "Dean of Students" at his school and I was so nervous, but she said that she had the funniest conversation with Ryder she has ever had with a student in her whole career! (it's a long story, but a funny one!) I always knew he would make an impression anywhere he goes, good and bad! :) Gunner is so fun. He dresses up every day in some costume and becomes this "super hero" of some sort. I could send him outside and he could play legos on the front step for HOURS! He is four and is in a booster seat now, and has cute zac efron hair, and sweet big blue eyes! He Taylor. O.M.Gosh. Terrible twos have hit big time at this household. She pinches, she slaps, she screams. help. Seriously it's bad! And it has come all in like a weeekend. But she is a freakin doll! Her hair is getting so long, her eyelashes even longer. Her cheeks stick out just enough that you have to kiss them. She's slimming down some, but I can't get enough of those rolls on her thighs. I. Love. her. So there's the updates on my beauties.

Bedroom update.

i have been doing a huge home organization project unlike any i've done. it's from a blog called a bowl full of lemons. it rocks my world. if you do everything she says it's going to do wonders for your home. and people this stuff is simple things she is telling you to do. long story short, i have a small bedroom, it's really an office/bedroom, and i had a desk, dresser, queen bed, night stands, yada yada. i organized john's stuff and fit it all in bins, and shelves, in the closet so we don't have any dressers in our room, only a desk and i'm not showing you that cause i haven't wanted to tackle the office organzing part. ok here are some pics of when we first bought our house.

my lamp is making that funny white thing on the wall, from the sun reflecting off it. (i was like cleaning and cleaning my lense!!)

nothing too spectacular, but improvements. the lighting is bad. we decided to push our bed against the wall and create more walking room from hallway to master bath. it's weird sleeping against a wall, but it's also kinda cozy too! we still need: trim, vents, i wanna make a new headboard, get my desk outta there, new light, find a nice rug, a new end table--i needed something fast and these were cheap at walmart! also, i'm not sure if this will always be my bedroom, we may add on to our house so this would be taylor's room. i will show what i'm doing in there soon too.

i know everyone has so much more than me going on in there lives, but i can't help just saying, "i'm tired.". it's almost like a cuss word to me. i don't usually get tired, i can go and go. and the only person that keeps me calm and carrys me on, is my hunny. he is so good to me. anyway, i'm just going to do a picture post, mainly of the kiddos. and i wouldn't be a true iowan girl without saying, "wasn't that a pretty snow yesterday?!". i love that. we used to go to montana every year as a child and vacation there, and it would snow, and we would love it. and we would be wearing shorts by the afternoon. it was great. but that snow is gorg. it made my day. flowers john gave me, my favorite!

corkboard redo

along time ago i bought this corkboard at walmart with good intentions on using it in front of my desk. i have yet to hang it up in front of my desk and it's been four years now.

i have been wanting a chalkboard lately, a really big one. so i decided to buy that handy dandy chalkboard spray paint, i know it's is awesome, and turned my corkboard into a chalkboard. here is what it looks like...

not too shabby, but i'm gonna make it shabby chic, by (someday, meaning in another four years) painting the frame a rubbed white color.

not a lot to post about, other than my first born is going to kindergarten!! what!? on thrusday!! what?! i can't handle it! ok i can't even talk about it, maybe later. here are a few random pics from my few weeks off of blogging... this is my BFF, she lives in MN, we used to be blonde together all through high school. we just can't get our hair right now, i'm brown she's blonde, she's brown, i'm blonde. she can't cut her hair for a while now, cause when we turn 30 were chopping it together...in LA. also we always have the same wardrobe, shocker were both wearing red in this pic. and sometimes she'll come into town and see me and say, "i seriously had that same outfit on this morning."

movie and craft night

we went to see the movie 'brave' the other night and left early because it was too scary, ok it didn't show anything about a big black bear or a witch in the commercials, but happy to say that we got 4 free tickets to come back again! yeah! here is a craft i did the other night and hung it up in our kitchen window... kind of a pintrest craft...
