Pocket Change

I am on a hunt for a cute piggy bank for my boys. I have some pocket change-well a lot-that I keep in a bucket by my washer and dryer downstairs. When John starts working in the spring he comes home with sooo much change and my laundy bucket gets filled fast. The only thing we really use that change for is to wash our car now and then in the winter months. But now I have a better idea for it. I have been thinking about my kids' future and college and stuff...I know, they will be 4 and 2, but I'm pregnant and its really been on my mind! Some of you may have a fund for your kids already, or have thought of this idea way before me, but I am taking all my change I have all over my house and putting in a bank account for my little ones. I have a stash of cash that people (mainly great/grandparents) have given them and savings bonds (thanks Gramps!) in my fire/flood safe, but I need to take it to the bank and get one opened (the ones that have a good interest rate and you can't take anything out of it until they are 18), one for Gunner and one for Ryder (when my next one is born I will open one for him/her), and divide it right down the middle for them. I am postitive that John and I will add to it besides just the ol' changaroo, but it will be kinda cool to see how much I can get by the time they are 18 and off to college! (wiping tear from my eye)

Baby Names are Final!!

You heard me, WE FIGURED THEM OUT AND WE BOTH LOVE THEM! Well, for a girl we have always had Taylor Belle, but decided to change the middle name to a name I wanted to be the first name?! Did that make sense...anyway, the girl name is Taylor Bryn, which I know we won't ever have a girl...but just in case. And for the boy name we always wanted our last little boy-- if we had a boy for our last baby-- to be John _____ and call him by his middle name if it was too confusing which it probably will be, but we decided on John Hudson! What do you think? It is a huge relief that we have figured out the names for this new baby, I am 19 weeks and feeling the little babe move so much! Just can't wait for you little pookie pookerson!

Funny Ryder sayings

I put Ryder down for a nap and I remembered I didn't have him go to the bathroom before he went down so I thought I better put a diaper on him just in case (we haven't mastered not peeing while sleeping yet). So I went in there and he woke up a little while I was putting on the diaper and he asked, "What are you doing?" and I said, "Putting a diaper on you." Then he replies, "You're darn tootin'." I thought it was hilarious!! Slinky says that in Toy Story 3. Which I have mentioned before we LOVE Toy Story!

Then today I told them it was time for a nap and Gunner has been walking himself into bed and trying to climb into his crib. BUT he has to have Woody and his hat with him, and I say ni-night and he waves good bye to me and says, "Bye ma.". While Ryder fights me tooth and nail. But seriously, he still needs one and is usually sleeping within 5 min. of laying down. So Ryder was on his way to his bed and I peek in on him after I get Gunner tucked in and Ryder says well more like growls, "I don't like it when you don't like me!"

Makin' it Happen

Well, nothing really new to talk about, just thought that I would write what's going on in the household right now. Well, literally right now I hear John on the skid loader making our rock wall in the back of our house. We are ready to do some home improvements!! But I just can't get the mister to work on the INSIDE!!! :) He knows I am annoyed so he wouldn't be mad that I put that on here...but I have sooo many ideas flowing through my head right now I just want him to do them!

A list of the big things we are going to do...
1) put some lights in the living room
2) take down all the paneling/subway tile! YES!
3) rip out our cabinets/bulk head above them!
4) rip out our entryway...well part of it anyway
5) fix some of our flooring
6) Spray knock down ceilings in kitchen dining room
7) New cabinets/countertops
8) re-paint living room/dining room/kitchen/hallway!
9) New hallway bathroom
10) and sometime this year new windows!

The boys turn 2 and 4 years old this February and Johnny boy says everything will be done by then...we'll see. In the words of him, "I make it happen."

Oh, about the newbie in the tummy...I'm almost 18 weeks and the baby weighs about 5oz and is the size of a turnip. I have felt it move before, but can't wait for it to really get going.
